adopted “experience” as its slogan. The idea
is Word of Life is more than an education;
it’s an experience. The experience of being
around other people doing the same thing
as you, asking the same questions as you,
trying to figure life out, and getting a better
understanding of their faith. I think that is
integral to the Word of Life program.
TOS: Anything else?
Guy: I would emphasize what I said about
gaining a Biblical foundation. You can study
on your own, and you very well should study
on your own. But at the age of seventeen,
you’re going to be asking questions like: What
is it that I believe? Why do I believe it? Do I
believe in Scripture simply because that’s the
way I was raised? That’s something we’re kind
of hit in the face with nowadays. I think it’s
important for young people to ask those questions, but more than that, I think it’s important to have the right context in which to ask
those questions. And Word of Life provides
you with world-renowned scholars who have
studied the Scriptures and who can answer
and address many of your questions about
Scripture and about the fundamentals of
Christianity.

EXPER I ENCE AFLBS
My biggest takeaway from Word of Life is that it gave me a sense of direction,
an overall framework or lens for approaching life's practical questions.
