In her homeschooling journey, nearly every homeschool mom will most likely find herself asking the question of whether her family
should join a co-op. It is a valid question,
but it does require some thought and
consideration in order for mom to make
the best decision for her family.
Co-ops can meet many needs, such as
offering classes that are more enjoyable
in a group, offering the use of certain
tools that a normal household doesn’t
have, or offering a foreign language in a
group setting.
Co-ops are also a great place for stu-
dents to get in some “friend” time and
for moms to get to know other home-
schooling moms. One common aspect of
homeschooling can be the feeling of iso-
lation for kids and moms, and a co-op or
