or fight lions? Will they be driven by
fear, or will they driven by faith? Nev-
er let them get away with crying that
there’s a lion in the garbage can, in the
math book, under their beds, or in the
backyard. No fear of imaginary lions
allowed.
Sons, in your life you will have to deal
with two very real lions. You will have
to contend with the Devil, that serpent
of old, your adversary who walks about
like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may
devour. So be sober, be vigilant. Do not
give him even an inch of ground; resist
him, and he will most certainly flee, as
the Lord has promised.
The other lion you will have to face is
the Lion King, the Lion of the tribe of
Judah, the Root of David, and the One
Who prevailed and opened the scroll
that no other could. The One of Whom
is sung in heaven, “You are worthy to
take the scroll, and to open its seals; for
You were slain, and have redeemed us
to God by Your blood out of every tribe
and tongue and people and nation” Rev-
elation 5: 9 (NKJV). Make sure you are
known by Him; repent and believe, and
He will give you the grace, by His Spirit,
to follow in His steps to the glory of God
the Father.
Surrender to the Lord. Resist the devil.
Slay your personal lions. And from now
on, let your cry be, “Look, Mom; I killed
a lion outside!”
Rise up, O men of God! Have done
with lesser things. Give heart and mind
and soul and strength to serve the King
of kings! 2
