Participating at Ambition was a dream
come true;for;me;because;I;had;never
thought about joining anything aviation-
related till my mom one day said that she
got me into a Naval aviation school in
Pensacola,;Florida.;I;have;been;interested
in;aviation;since;I;was;ten;years;old and
never;thought;that;I;would;be;able;to;take
part;in;such;an;amazing;program;as;this.
It;was;motivating;;the;feeling;of;teamwork
made;it;inspiring,;and going;to;the;Na-
tional;Flight;Academy will give;anyone;a
new;passion;to;learn;about aviation.
After getting back home in Ten-
nessee, I’m already thinking of when
I can;return;to Ambition I absolutely
loved it there! I felt bad when my
mom;asked;me if;I;missed;the;family.
I;missed;them,;but honestly,;I;wouldn’t
have;minded continuing;my;education
there for a month! Five days wasn’t
long;enough.;But;it;was;enough;time;to
get me interested in a career in flight.
It was that much fun and I wanted to
learn more!
Ambition was so inspiring! Soon af-
ter getting home, Mom signed me up
for;Civil;Air;Patrol;(CAP),;locally.;My
dad accompanied me to the first sev-
eral meetings, and we both could see
immediately;what;a;benefit;it;would;be;to
my;career;goals.
So;far,;CAP;has been;an;incredible;ex-
perience.;Ms.;Beverly;Barnett,;who;other
than being very involved in our local
CAP;program,;has;her;own;flight;school
right there at our local airport fifteen
minutes away from my house, and has
inspired me so much, giving me wonder-
ful;advice;as;my;parents;and;I;make;deci-
sions;for;my;potential;career;in;flight.
CAP;is;a;very;good;organization;for
any student;who;is;interested;in;Search
and Rescue, Community Services or any-
thing aviation related. There is so much
encouragement;at;CAP;and we;all;look
to each other to demonstrate respect,
integrity and responsibility. One needs
to;be;mature,;selfless, disciplined, and;a
hard;worker;to see;how;much;CAP;has
to offer. I am still striving in all of these
areas, but can see how being around such
peers and mentors will continue to help
me grow personally.

their encouragement. I wouldn’t have
known;how fun,;interesting;and;excit-ing;aviation;was if;they;hadn’t;driven;the
family;all;the;way;out to;Pensacola,;FL;so
that;I;could;take;part;in a;well-worth-it
experience at a national aviation program called Ambition.
Julia Suarez is the 17 year old daughter of
TOS publishers, Paul and Gena Suarez. As
Julia finishes up her homeschool journey,
she finds herself contemplating becoming a pilot someday, if the Lord allows.
She enjoys learning to play guitar, taking
part in volleyball games, chasing three
young, rambunctious siblings around and
going on long trips with the family. Let
