The Joyner boys were a noisy bunch. All three were would-be drummers. At home, Mrs. Joyner sometimes put on ear plugs. For the camping trip, the boys were told they would have to keep the noise down. They didn’t want o disturb other campers. They left all their noisy toys at home. The family left Boise and drove east, then north. They entered Yellowstone at the northwest corner of th Mr. and Mrs. Joyner and their three boys were looking forward to their first camping trip. They lived in Boise, Idaho, and were planning to visit Yellowstone—the oldest national park in the United States. It is in the northwest corner of Wyoming. A bit of it extends north into Montana, and west into Idaho.

Five pair of eyes got as big as saucers as they watched this huge creature. It was fun to watch, but then they were afraid the bear might not go away. It was then that Mr. Joyner yelled in a loud voice, “Forget what we said about not making noise, boys. Start banging on something, but be careful not to break anything.”

at a time, in explicit, sequential, building block fashion.
This takes him far beyond the limits of word memorization, to be able to sound out (decode) MANY new words on
his own. Using Go Phonics integrated tools, he’s getting the practice and repetition for reading success and gaining
automaticity. He’s applying the skills in text to life stories he can really read (93% decodable and cumulative).
Guided lesson plans are teacher developed by Sylvia S. Davison, a veteran reading specialist. Strategies minimize
confusion and help solve issues with letter-sound recognition, reversals, blends, knowing the spelling choices and
rules. You’re empowering his learning by teaching the phonetic codes and as you go, applying them in reading,
handwriting, spelling, comprehension, fluency, and language arts. Used by reading specialists AND home educators, Go Phonics provides a complete curriculum to teach a beginner or one who struggles, has gaps or dyslexia.

“My oldest daughter has dyslexia and I struggled through many different
programs. Go Phonics turned her failures into triumphs: she’s reading
at grade level and her confidence has soared! I started my younger one
at age 5 and she has loved the program, especially the stories. I would
heartily recommend Go Phonics. The success it has achieved with two
very different learning styles attests to its effectiveness.”
