small;and;finite;everything;really;is;on;the;ground;and;how;un-
important;we;seem;to;be;really;makes;you;appreciate;the;fact
that;God;knows;each;one;of;us;intimately;and;that;He;cares
for;us.”
Both;Kim;and;Rob;are;thrilled;that;Zachary;has;decided
to go into aeronautics. He carries on the legacy of both of his
grandfathers with a passion that is both deep and real.
Kim;has;enjoyed;the;opportunity;to;capture;her;home;state
of Connecticut from a completely different angle. Not only has
she;captured;the;beginning;of;Zachary’s;journey;on;film,;but
she has also amassed a wonderful collection of aerial photos of
their home state.
Mother;and;son;have;fond;memories;of;Zachary’s;flight;les-sons. They both remember the time that his instructor received
permission;to;practice;a;“touch-and-go”;at;Bradley;Airport,;a
fairly busy commercial airport. The pilots of the jumbo jets on
the tarmac, full of passengers, were not pleased when they had
to wait for Zachary to touch down in his tiny prop plane, slow
down,;and;then;take;off;again;without;completely;stopping.;On
another;memorable;day;they;flew;over;the;Hudson;River;up;to
the;Verrazano;Bridge;by;New;York;City,;near;where;the;Twin
Towers once stood in lower Manhattan.
Homeschool;families;can;take;the;time;to;allow;their;children
to forge their own paths based on their individual interests. The
Pasquinis;are;a;wonderful;example;of;this;unexpected;benefit;of
homeschooling. Zachary is now a freshman at Le Tourneau Uni-
versity in Texas and almost halfway toward his goal of earning
a;pilot’s;license.;In;addition;to;his;aeronautical;career,;he;is;an
accomplished;violinist.;The;Pasquini’s;younger;daughter,;Han-
nah,;12,;is;a;budding;figure;skater.
This;was;a;journey;that;both;Kim;and;Zachary;were;blessed
to experience starting together, and mother and son have many
fond;memories;of;Zachary’s;first;few;flying;lessons.;With;the
wonderful;head;start;in;flying;that;his;parents;have;allowed,
Zachary;is;ready;to;take;off;in;his;new;career!
