to plenteousness; but of every one that is
hasty only to want.”
Stay;the;course.;Be;diligent;and;finish
the;race;set;before;you.;Be;diligent;with
follow-through, and glorify God with ev-ery;task;set;before;you.
8. No idling!
Ecclesiastes;10: 18;says,;“Through laziness,
the rafters sag; because of idle hands, the
house leaks.” 1 Through idle hands nothing is accomplished. So, get up, turn off
the TV, and get moving! No excuses and
no;distractions;(re-read;#2;above).
9. Create incentives!
Parents are no different than children.
Perhaps;the;motivation;you;need;to;meet
your;deadlines;is;an;incentive.;Kids;love
rewards;and;so;do;we;(okay—at;least;I
do). Meet (or beat) a deadline and treat
yourself to something fun: extra time
playing;with;the;kids,;a;monstrous;bowl
of chocolate ice cream, or even spending
some;time;reading;a;good;book.
10. Have fun!
Life is stressful, and the ins and outs of
every day life can be overwhelming.
Even;with;all;that;we;do,;our;family;takes
time for fun. The beautiful part of home-schooling;and;working;from;home;is;that
we are constantly with each other, but we
also;designate;one;night;a;week;to;truly
focus on fun. Friday nights are Family
Date Nights, and nothing interferes with
those. It is our time to wind down, pig
out;on;pizza,;and;watch;movies;or;play
board games. We stay up until midnight
(or as close to it as we can get) and just
enjoy hanging out together.
To Sum It All Up
How;do;we;manage;it;all?;By;the;grace;of
God, we burst through each day with the
power of Christ leading us onward and
upward. There are days when I want to
quietly;crawl;back;into;bed,;pull;the;blan-kets;over;my;head,;and;just;escape;from
the world, but as a wife and mother I can-not;surrender;to;my;own;selfish;desires.
Our days, no matter how well planned,
don’t;always;follow;these;guidelines.;We
try really hard each and every day, but
we’ve;learned;that;life;happens.
God is in control and His plans super-sede;ours.;And;that’s;perfectly;fine;with
me.
