Since beginning homeschooling our
daughter;eight;years;ago,;we;have;been
through;four;formal;math;curricula;that
included;easy;and;hard;tasks,;breaks;and
times of perseverance, and countless
hours;of;second-guessing;ourselves.;Each
curriculum;has;had;its;pros;and;cons,
and;all;have;been;viable;math;teaching
options,;in;my;opinion.;We;just;needed
to;find;the;right;fit;for;our;child.;What
we;have;learned;is;that;it;isn’t;always;fun,
and;she;may;never;love;it,;but;with;perse-verance;and;persistence,;she;has;become
a;confident,;albeit;still;underwhelmed,
mathematician!
Heidi Ciravola has been married to her
husband, Joseph for over fifteen years.
Together they have three children with
whom they began their homeschooling
journey in 2006, when their oldest was beginning second grade. Heidi is a mother,
taxi service, and homeschool parent by
