Our;homeschooling;adven- ture;started;when;our;son, Sam,;was;in;second;grade, after;two;disastrous;years
in;private;school.;So;when;we;began
homeschooling,;I;knew;that;I;wanted
to;create;a;completely;different;envi-ronment,;one;that;supported;his;kin-esthetic;learning;style.;KONOS;was;the
natural;choice;since;its;hands-on;activi-ties;fit;with;my;determination;to;avoid
bringing;school;home.
I;am;an;eclectic;homeschooler,;so;I
also use Handwriting without Tears,
RightStart Mathematics, and Spelling
Power.;My;son;takes;art;classes,;and;he
enjoys;swimming;as;well;as;playing;air-soft;with;homeschooling;friends.
I;have;been;married;to;my;husband,
Travis,;an;architect,;for;15;years.;Our
son;will;soon;be;13.;We;are;a;very;artis-
tic;family;and;delight;in;a;home;that;is
uniquely;tailored;to;our;personalities.
