My father actually did this to me when I was a small child. This is how I gained the confidence to swim. The only difference being that my father threw me in a pool that was clean and sanitized.
In the same line of reasoning, when I attended public school back
in the fifties, the 3 R’s I learned were reading, ’riting, and ’rithmetic.
Today the waters of our humanistic secular public school system
are polluted with the 3 R’s of radical agendas, revisionist history, and
relativism.
We all want our children to learn how to swim, but not in shark-infested, polluted waters.
