affordable than you might think!

critique a pianist who bangs out dissonance
on a piano or a writer whose words are incoherent? No, of course not. That is why art
slid into an era in which only psychologists
and philosophers could interpret the quality of a piece. The more vague and unclear
the painting, the “better” it was! Logic upside down.
My point is this: art is not as relativistic
and abstract as it’s been made out to be.
Just as you can teach harmony (but you
can’t critique dissonance), art that has a
logical foundation can be taught systematically, and an online environment is ideal
for this. I have found that teaching online
has forced me to organize the intrinsic
knowledge I rely on for my own work. It’s
one thing to know it and quite another to
articulate it effectively to someone else.
