Overall, I am 100% satisfied with
everything I tried from Virginia Soaps
& Scents. I am still a little freaked out
that I no longer put conditioner on my
hair or see suds in my washing machine, but I believe our family is getting closer to living healthier lives by
removing more and more chemicals
from our household.
Please check out this wonderful fam-ily-owned business today! They offer
more products than I received to review. Their products would make great
gifts!

Homeschooling Your Struggling
Learner
Kathy Kuhl
Learn Differently, LLC

Homeschooling Your Struggling
Learner is a carefully thought-out,
well-written and researched, encouraging and personal book about the challenges of raising and teaching a child
who learns differently. Kathy Kuhl honestly shares her journey of teaching her
own son, through the struggles as well
as the successes.
Making the decision to answer the
call to homeschool your struggling
learner is a tough one. Kuhl asks us
to consider whether school is work-
ing, whether homeschooling is a good
fit, and whether a return to school is
a better situation. The next section,
Laying the Groundwork, addresses
attitudes and assumptions, learning
problems, diagnosis and professionals,
treatments, therapies, and teachers. I

appreciated her frank discussion about
our own attitudes—how do we view
this child who challenges our world?
We need to respect that they are whole
persons who have many needs beyond
learning academics.
Homeschooling Only One
Donna Conner
www.donnac.com
Are you homeschooling only one
child and wondering why it isn’t
ten times easier to homeschool one
child than it is ten children? Home-
schooling Only One will validate your
suspicion that it is not necessarily eas-
ier to homeschool one child. There are
treasures and stressors, as Mrs. Conner
calls them, unique to the relationship
between a parent and the only child.
Even if you have more than one child,
this book is designed for you if you are
homeschooling only one, especially if
you are new to homeschooling.

I tested three Charlie’s Soap products:
Laundry Powder, Laundry Liquid, and
All-Purpose Cleaner. Their names are
perfect descriptions of what they are.
The Laundry Powder I received came
inside a plastic bag that was inside a
cotton canvas bag with a drawstring.
There was a 1-tablespoon measuring
spoon inside the bag. The Laundry Liquid came in a small bottle with a small
lid and no means of measuring the
soap. The All-Purpose Cleaner came in
a spray bottle.
For your first use of the Laundry
Powder or Liquid, the company recommends using a double amount of Charlie’s Soap in a large empty load (or maybe with a few old rags) to cleanse the
washer of chemical deposits. After that,
it still may take a few washes to see the
