Heather and her husband Steve have homeschooled
their five children for the last eleven years. Heather
stays busy with homeschooling, writing for TOS, and

Christine M. Field, TOS’s Resource Room columnist,
practiced law for eight years before becoming a full-time mommy for her four children. Her husband
serves as Chief of Police in Wheaton, Illinois. She is a
freelance writer and the author of several books about
homeschooling, adopting, and more.
Karen “SpunkyHomeschool” Braun
Karen Braun is a Christian, wife, and homeschooling
mother to six children. She is engaged in the full-time
art of managing her home and educating her children.
Karen also enjoys speaking and writing on behalf of
homeschooling and is a strong advocate for the Christian family. Her popular blog, SpunkyHomeschool,
blends all of those interests.

Amelia Harper is a homeschooling mother of five and
a pastor’s wife. She is the author of Literary Lessons
from the Lord of the Rings, a complete one-year lit-
erature curriculum for secondary-level students. She is
also a freelance writer for newspapers and magazines.
Jennifer Pepito is TOS’s Chapel Editor, a homeschool-
ing mom of six, married to her hero, Scott. They live
in Baja, Mexico, where Scott coordinates help for an
orphanage. Jennifer enjoys writing and speaking about
her adventures as a missionary mom, gardening, and

Susan Spann is a partner in the law firm Llewellyn
Spann, where she specializes in copyright, trademark,
and corporate law. Formerly a professor at Trinity Law
School in Santa Ana, California, she currently teaches
business law at William Jessup University. She blogs
