Without Homeschooling, We Wouldn’t
Have Written Books!
Cecelia Schmidt and Solomon Schmidt
Homeschooling has afforded us so many wonderful freedoms and opportunities to
specialize our children’s instruction. As a result, we have been able to hand pick and
pointedly tailor our children’s curriculum options based on their specific learning
styles. Homeschooling has allowed us to provide a rich literary environment for our
children with meaningful literature selections, solid grammar programs, an abundance of creative writing exercises, and additional instruction from the master instructors at the Institutes for Excellence in Writing (IEW). Our children have said several times that, without homeschooling, they don’t think they would have ever been
able or willing to write and publish four books.
Cecelia is a homeschooled senior and has written two books: The War Rages On and The
War Within. She lives in New York with her parents and three younger siblings. Besides
writing Christian books, Cecelia enjoys writing and performing plays with her family
and friends. Find her books at http://historybites.com
Solomon is a freshman and has written U.S. History Bites and U.S. Presidential History
Bites. Solomon also has a You Tube channel where he has mini lectures that go along with
his books: bit.ly/2AxkNCv

Does Your Teen Love
SchoolhouseTeachers.com is looking
for homeschooled teens who enjoy
writing to help us with some short-term writing projects. The topics and
needs are varied, and in exchange,
your teen will get published writing
credit as well as valuable experience.
We also want to hear their ideas for
projects. Whether your teen is interested in history, science, literature,
computers, sports, crafts, or just about
any other subject, we’d love to work
together with them to help your teens
build their writing portfolio. Please
