Healthy Chocolate Pecan Pie Joy Brewer, Social Media Manager
½ cup organic corn syrup
2/3 cup organic sugar
1/3 cup organic butter, melted
½ cup organic chocolate chips
1 cup pecans, chopped
Pie crust (I use store bought because it is
the easiest for me to use time-wise.)
1. Lightly spray the pecan pieces with olive
oil and sprinkle with salt and let them
lightly roast for about 5 to 10 minutes.
2. Melt the butter and the chocolate
chips and set aside.
3. In a mixing bowl stir the eggs, then
add the sugar and mix until dissolved.
4. Add corn syrup and mix.
5. Add the melted butter and chocolate
chips and stir completely.
6. Add pecans and a few extra chocolate
chips so that when it is done there
will be a few chocolate chunks in it.
7. Pour into pie crust. If you are using a
deep dish pie crust, double the recipe.
8. Cook the pie for about 30-45 minutes
or until a knife inserted comes out
9. Cool before serving.
