Project-based learning is the wave of the future. Homeschoolers definitely have the advantage, as the educational wave is
headed toward teaching students how to productively use the
easily acquired and ample information available, instead of just
reiterating it in its own easily forgotten words or tests. This year,
up to twelve special students will be accepted, by application,
for a new program created by Mrs.G. She is offering students
the opportunity to devote an entire school year of courses to
“Year One” is focused on the ancient and biblical historical time period with architecture, art, writing, speech, theater,
and photography projects based on the musical, Joseph and the
Dreamcoat. Students will be working alongside Mrs. G.’s Northern Virginia students, who will be performing the musical in
2017. In the classical framework, Mrs G. will be offering project-based learning opportunities based on medieval, Renaissance, and modern historical premises in 2017, 2018, and 2019.
Courses are open to all levels, with different requirements for
each age group. Mrs. G.’s online signature and e-courses in the Arts
will continue to be offered on an individual basis with individual
schedules. She is accepting summer and fall registrations now.
