Eat Until We Are Satisfied
souls to the full with what is good, we
our bodies with too much. Here is where
O God, thou art my God early will
Blessed are they which do hunger
I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for
thee, my flesh longeth for thee in
a dry and thirsty land, where no
water is; to see thy power and thy
glory, so as I have seen thee in the
sanctuary. Because thy lovingkind-
ness is better than life, my lips shall
praise thee. Thus will I bless thee
while I live: I will lift up my hands in
thy name. My soul shall be satisfied
as with marrow and fatness; and
my mouth shall praise thee with
joyful lips. (Psalm 63: 1–5)
and thirst after righteousness: for
they shall be filled. (Matthew 5: 6)
And Jesus said unto them, I am the
bread of life: he that cometh to me
shall never hunger; and he that
believeth on me shall never thirst.
(John 6: 35)
Oh that men would praise the Lord
for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
For he satisfieth the longing soul,
and filleth the hungry soul with
goodness. (Psalm 107: 8–9)
We CAN overcome what weighs us
down, by filling up with the Word of God,
the glory of God, the lovingkindness of
God, the righteousness of God, the Bread
from heaven: Jesus Himself! Oh, that I
would praise the LORD for His wonderful
works toward me! He satisfies my soul
and fills my hunger with goodness! Join
me in putting our forks down and lifting
our hands up to praise the Lord!
